Indiana Roads Ranked #1 in U.S. Despite Potholes and Construction

This might come as a shock to most Hoosiers, but Indiana road quality is the best in the nation, according to a recent study.

Indiana is known as “The Crossroads of America,” mainly because the city of Indianapolis is the hub for several major Interstate highways that crisscross the state, connecting Hoosiers to the rest of the United States. Recently, the state of Indiana was named one of the best states in the entire country to drive in. While Indiana is full of roads that offer great scenery and make for a great Sunday drive, we also have a few sketchy roads throughout the state as well. If you still find yourself saying, “There’s no way Indiana has the best roads in America,” U.S. News & World Report isn’t the only reliable source to make that claim in 2025. Earlier this year, a study by Consumer Affairs also revealed that Indiana has the best road quality in the country. So, maybe there’s something to the claims…
