Police shooting ruled justified
Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr has ruled the fatal police shooting of 18-year-old Jabari Peoples justified after body camera footage showed Peoples was armed with a gun. Carol Robinson reports that according to Carr, Peoples struggled with an officer during a marijuana-related stop, broke free, and reached for a gun before being shot once in the back. The family’s attorney, Ben Crump, disputes this account and demands release of the complete, unedited video.
Family responds to bodycam footage
