Homeless man from Eustis arrested with drugs near senior living facility

A homeless man from Eustis was arrested after being stopped on a bicycle with several baggies of drugs near a senior living facility.

An officer spotted 55-year-old Aaron James Corbin riding a bicycle without a steady rear red light around 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The officer subsequently stopped him on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Temple Hill Road near Village Veranda, a senior living community.

Corbin handed the officer a plastic bag with a green leafy substance and a small glass pipe with burnt green leafy substance. A search of his person revealed a plastic baggie containing a white crystalline substance in his wallet. He was then detained and put in the back of a patrol vehicle, the report said.

A second plastic bag with more white substance was then discovered in Corbin’s wallet. A search of his backpack yeiled a large plastic bag with more white substance. Each bag of white substance tested positive for methamphetamine, and all together they weighed 7 grams. The green substance tested positive for THC and weighed 2.4 grams, the report said…
