PENSACOLA, Fla. — A drive-by shooting suspect fought with Pensacola Police and grabbed an officer’s Taser during his arrest, according to an arrest report.
Jamal Thompson, 22, of Pensacola, was arrested Monday night. He’s charged with:
- firing weapon into home
- damaging property
- possession of weapon by a convicted felon (two counts)
- unlawful carry of a concealed firearm
- display firearm during felony
- false ID given to police
- obstructing police
- battery on an officer
- resisting arrest
- marijuana possession
The drive-by shooting took place on June 29 at a home on Majors Road in Escambia County.
According to the arrest report, Thompson and the victim first had an argument over an Apple Watch. Later in the day, Thompson allegedly pulled up to the victim’s home, got out of the passenger side of the car, pulled out a gun and fired approximately eight shots at the victim’s home.
