NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) — A woman has pleaded guilty in connection with a hit-and-run that killed a woman last Spring near Newton.
Samara Maple, 25, of Hutchinson, pled guilty in Harvey County District Court to one count of leaving the scene of a fatality crash.
The incident occurred on April 8, 2024. Newton police say the body of the woman, identified as 64-year-old Laurie Robinson of Newton, was discovered around 9 a.m. by a truck driver who was driving on Southeast 24th Street just east of Interstate 135.
