The Gen X lineup: Creed, 311, Nelly, Ja Rule, Dave Matthews and 30 other Reno-Tahoe shows

Generation X, this is your moment. Check out this lineup of 35 performers who were making hits from the late ’80s through the early ’00s, all of whom are heading to northwestern Nevada and Lake Tahoe in late summer through the end of October.

Truckee Music Fest

A two-day lineup with some diverse offerings is the modus operandi of this Tahoe-based event. Day one features Jason Derulo, Big Boi and Maryjo, while the second day includes X Ambassadors, Sugar Ray and Better Than Ezra. Shows start at 4 p.m. each day at Truckee Riverview Sports Park, 12200 Joerger Drive, Truckee, California.

Dwight Yoakam

A frequent visitor to Reno-Tahoe, this roots-rock/country artist is back for this show at 8 p.m. at Grande Exposition Hall, Silver Legacy Resort Casino, 407 N. Virginia Street.
