Demolition of bathroom facility at Keʻehi Lagoon Park destroyed in 2016 set to begin

City officials announced the demolition of one of the comfort stations at Keʻehi Lagoon Park, which was vandalized and set on fire in 2016, rendering it unusable.

The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction, in partnership with the Department of Parks and Recreation, prepared plans for the demolition of the bathroom facilities next to the playground at Keʻehi Lagoon Park, which began on Monday. The project is expected to be completed by mid-October 2025, according to a news release.
