WATERVLIET, N.Y. (WNYT) — The Watervliet parents charged in connection with the death of their 9-year-old daughter are accused of failing to provide her with adequate food, according to court documents.
Harold Warner and Jennifer Singleton have been charged with two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The girl, Nathalia Warner, was rushed on Saturday from a home on Second Avenue to Samaritan Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Court paperwork said Warner and Singleton allegedly “allowed the child to reside in living conditions that were hazardous to the child’s health and safety, including but not limited to: unsanitary environment, and lack of adequate food — thereby placing the child at risk of physical, mental or emotional harm.”…
