WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Authorities in the District said Thursday that a man was ordered to spend three years in prison for breaking into a woman’s apartment earlier this year — while she was sleeping inside.
Nathaniel Robinson, 36, was sentenced to 70 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. The charges against him stem from the overnight hours of March 6.
At around 9:15 a.m. that day, a woman reported that her apartment in Northeast D.C. had been broken into while she was asleep. She told responding Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers that while she was getting ready to leave for work, she noticed her bag was missing, along with her cell phone and multiple other items.
