APD seeing more recruits, could return department to 200 officers

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Asheville Police Department (APD), like many departments nationwide, is seeing an influx of cadets.

Out of 232 positions, APD now has just 32 vacancies. The 21 cadets in the current class are in their first week of training.
