Inmate faces felony charge for alleged liquid attack on officer in Lockport

LOCKPORT, N.Y. — A man being held at the Niagara County Correctional Facility is facing charges after he allegedly threw a liquid, presumed to be urine, at a correctional officer.

Kevin Spellman, 39, has been charged with one felony count of aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate. The incident happened around 11:50 a.m. Sunday in the Town of Lockport, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
