NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — North Tonawanda is celebrating its first step of a $2 million extension of the Erie Canal bike path.
“As we break ground today, we’re really paving a way for a healthier and more connected North Tonawanda,” said North Tonawanda Mayor Austin Tylec. “One that celebrates our waterfront values, active living and continues to invest in our community and future.”
When finished, the path will extend a mile and a half past Mayor’s Park to North Tonawanda’s Botanical Gardens…
