NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police have arrested a man in connection with a July 1 shooting along Whites Creek Pike.
According to a Wednesday press release from the Metro Nashville Police Department, 27-year-old Darius Owens was waiting in the breezeway of an apartment on Whites Creek Pike when he opened fire on a 26-year-old man who walked out of a nearby apartment.

The 26-year-old was shot in the abdomen and was transported to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for treatment.
Owens has been charged with attempted homicide as well as felony weapon possession, reckless endangerment and driving on a suspended license.
