‘Technical issue’ at Verizon to blame for missed Amber Alert

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has confirmed that an Amber Alert about an abducted baby did not reach many Minnesotans.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) issued the Amber Alert on Wednesday afternoon, alerting the public that a newborn had been taken from her guardian by her mother in Columbia Heights.

The alert stated that police had reason to believe the mother “may pose a danger to both herself and the infant.”…
