Third bat tests positive for rabies in Mecklenburg County, marking 6th case this year

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Another bat tests positive for rabies in Mecklenburg County, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control (ACC).

On Wednesday, August 6, the ACC was notified by their liaison with the Mecklenburg County Department of Public Health that a rabies alert would be sent out at 7 p.m.
