COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — A former South Carolina county elections director was convicted this week in federal court of fraudulently obtaining more than $168,000 in Social Security benefits intended for her dead mother, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced.
Cynthia Delores Holland, 61, of Aiken was found guilty by a federal jury after a day and a half of trial.
