‘Less of a restriction and more of a gift’ | Two Knoxville schools using locked pouches to restrict students’ access to phones

KNOXVILLE, Tenn — Two schools in Knoxville partnered with a phone pouch company to enforce the new state law restricting students’ access to their personal devices.

Yondr phone pouches are used in schools nationwide. It uses a patented magnet technology that locks students’ phones up throughout the school day, something school leaders agree can be good for their students.
