A community in Florida is mourning the loss of a 16-year-old girl and her grandmother after they were both killed in a two-vehicle collision last weekend.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 2, in Jupiter Farms, Fla., The Palm Beach Post, ABC affiliate WPBF and NBC affiliate WPTV reported.

Authorities said an SUV driven by Deidre North, 77, went through the intersection of Alexander Run and Randolph Siding Road and failed to stop at the stop sign. That was when the SUV collided with a pickup truck, and the SUV went off the road and hit a tree…
