Massachusetts man serving 45 years for Maine murder will receive new sentence

SKOWHEGAN, Maine (WGME) — A Massachusetts man who pleaded guilty to stabbing a Skowhegan woman to death will receive a new sentence.

Jason Servil was arrested in July 2022 for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Alice Abbott. Her body was found at a home on Canaan Road in Skowhegan. According to the Bangor Daily News, Abbott had been stabbed 99 times.

Servil pleaded guilty to her murder and aggravated assault for attacking a man who was with Abbott after reaching a plea deal in January 2024 that capped his maximum sentence at 45 years, according to the BDN…
