These Virginia restaurants were featured on Guy Fieri’s ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’

Virginia truly is for food lovers. “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” star and chef Guy Fieri has visited close to 30 restaurants in Virginia over the years on his cross-country mouth-watering journey to eat at “greasy spoon” restaurants in the United States.

The Food Network show has featured all different types of Virginia restaurants. From fresh seafood in coastal towns to barbecue joints, fried chicken and southern comfort food to college hangouts, diners and delis, Fieri has spent time in some of the commonwealth’s best kitchens.

Metro 29 Diner

Metro 29 Diner began serving its immense portions of American favorites in 1995 when two families came together to open a New York-style diner in Arlington, creating the classic diner menu, or as Fieri calls it, “monster menu,” that offers quality food, prompt service and a warm, easy going dining experience. After visiting the diner on his show, Fieri recommended the homemade challah bread French toast and the leg of lamb with potatoes with a homemade gravy he calls “the kicker.”…
