NAPA, CA — On July 24, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Napa Police Department received a report of a shooting under the Maxwell Bridge, located at 900 West Imola Avenue. Responding officers located a 23-year-old male victim in the CVS parking lot at 291 South Coombs Street. The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He has since been released and is reported to be in stable condition. The primary crime scene was determined to be under Maxwell Bridge, and Napa Police Department detectives assumed control of the investigation.
As the investigation progressed, detectives identified 23 year old Jaime Lisandro Lopez-Barajas of Napa as the suspect. On July 30, 2025, officers located Lopez-Barajas in the 600 block of South Jefferson Street. Upon noticing law enforcement, Lopez-Barajas attempted to flee on foot.
