LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department on Friday identified the person seriously hurt in a Thursday night shooting as Sonia Green, 54. LPD said Maurice King, 47, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Lubbock County structure fire draws multiple fire rescue teams
LPD previously said officers were called to the 500 block of East Municipal Drive at 10:01 p.m. for a report of shots fired. The victim was taken to University Medical Center by EMS, LPD said.
Police said there was an altercation between Green and King, and King shot her. King was arrested at the scene for an LPD warrant. He was taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center, where he was served a warrant for aggravated assault.
