BOISE, ID – A 22-year-old man from Mexico has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl while possessing a firearm, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho announced Friday.
Between June and October 2024, Edwin Reyes-Parra distributed more than four pounds of methamphetamine along with smaller amounts of fentanyl and fluorofentanyl in the community. In December 2024, law enforcement executed a search warrant at his residence, seizing 75.5 grams of fentanyl, a firearm, and $2,000 in cash. Officials said Reyes-Parra attempted to flush drugs down the toilet before officers entered.
