Alleged incindiary device found during traffic stop

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department has arrested a man after allegedly finding an incendiary device during a traffic stop

Around 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, a Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) officer stopped a car for vehicle registration violations on North Carefree Circle near Palmer Park. After speaking with the driver, the officer found he did not have a valid Colorado driver’s license.

With no valid registration or driver’s license, it was determined that the vehicle would be impounded. When CSPD searched the car for impound inventory, they discovered a suspected incendiary device. The CSPD called their Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit (EOD), which conducted an investigation and took the device for safe disposal…
