Neighbor Defends Parents of Watervliet Girl in Death Investigation

Watervliet, NY (WRGB) — A neighbor is defending the parents of a 9-year-old Watervliet girl whose death has led to criminal charges against them.

Investigators have charged Harold Warner and Jennifer Singleton with two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Court documents allege the couple allowed their children to live in unsafe, unsanitary conditions and without adequate food, placing them at risk of harm. The second count involves their 10-year-old son, who is still alive.
