Thirteen Charged in $1 Million Luxury Vehicle Title-Washing Scheme

HARRISBURG, Pa. (EYT) — State officials have charged 13 people in connection with a central Pennsylvania based vehicle title-washing operation that allegedly profited over $1 million from selling stolen high-end vehicles.

The Office of Attorney General Dave Sunday announced the charges Wednesday, following a report from the 52nd Statewide Investigating Grand Jury.

The criminal enterprise was led by 44-year-old Anthony E. Troncoso, according to the attorney general’s office. The group allegedly sold more than two dozen stolen vehicles after fabricating documents to “wash” the titles…
