BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — The California Board of Parole Hearings (BPH) has denied parole for Randy Hanson, a convicted three-strikes offender, citing his continued risk to public safety, announced the Kern County District Attorney.
Hanson, 66, has been incarcerated for approximately 29 years following a 1997 conviction for felony vehicle theft, which, combined with two prior residential burglary convictions, resulted in a 25-years-to-life sentence under California’s Three Strikes Law.
