Martin County deputies recover stolen guns, warn public to secure firearms

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — In a sweeping crackdown on gun-related burglaries, deputies say they’ve recovered six stolen firearms linked to a string of Martin County burglaries.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office’s (MCSO) Criminal Investigations Division, two of the six stolen firearms were rifles, and one was found in a bedroom with multiple minors present.

As a result of the gun seizures, deputies say three people were arrested, including the mother of the juvenile who was found with the stolen gun.

Along with burglary charges, the suspects now face additional felony charges for stealing the firearms, regardless of their age…
