Kim Weinrich, 68, was ordered to pay nearly $600,000 in restitution after defrauding the district of hundreds of thousands of dollars over six years.
A former payroll director for Mustang Public Schools, Kim Weinrich, 68, has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for orchestrating a years-long scheme that defrauded the school district of approximately $470,000.
U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester announced the sentencing, which followed Weinrich’s guilty plea to charges of wire fraud and making and subscribing a false tax return.
According to public records, Weinrich began her fraudulent activities in July 2016, while serving as the District’s Payroll Supervisor. She was later promoted to Director of Payroll Services in 2021.
