Wichita, Haysville raids yield meth, fentanyl, and firearms

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Federal prosecutors have charged two men in separate complaints after a pair of search warrants in Wichita and Haysville turned up methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, firearms, and drug manufacturing equipment.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Thomas Lewis Williams, 64, of Haysville, is charged with one count of possession of a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.

Oswaldo Gutierrez-Rodriguez, 29, of Wichita, is charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

The charges follow a multi-agency operation on Aug. 6 that authorities had billed as part of a year-long investigation into a “transnational drug cartel.”…
