BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a recent news release, the Idaho Civil War Volunteers will participate in Three Island Crossing State Park’s celebration of 25 years of the Oregon Trail History and Education Center.
The Idaho Civil War Volunteers, a for-profit education organization, will be one of many groups participating in the celebration. Other displays will include covered wagons, tipis, the Idaho Sidesaddle Association, Fort Boise Garrison and camps from different historical organizations.
This event is open to the public on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At 11 a.m., a brief ceremony will open the event. This will include Gary Eller and Paul Dinwiddie, who will discuss Oregon Trail history and culture in Idaho…
