SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Salt Lake City announced it is nearing an end to the years-long road construction on 2100 South in Sugarhouse.
“We’re in the homestretch on 2100 S!” Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall said in a post to social media Friday.
According to the city, final paving began Tuesday night from Lincoln to 1100 East. Paving continued through Wednesday and Thursday nights at the 700 East intersection.
The long-term construction on 2100 South has proved difficult for many businesses who have seen a drop in traffic since construction began with the passing of a bond in 2018 that funds the project even today.
