Pair have new charges in Colonie and East Greenbush, warrants for not showing up to court
GLENMONT — Two Albany women with a history of larceny charges were arrested in Bethlehem on Tuesday, July 15, after allegedly stealing from a Market 32 store and providing police with fake names and ages. The pair was then transported around the Capital District to face more charges and warrants in the coming days.
Bethlehem police identified the women as Nyiana Wimberly, 25, and Layannah Morales, 21, after they initially claimed to be juveniles. The pair was arrested after they left the store and entered a waiting Uber, which police later located and stopped on Bender Lane.
Wimberly was charged with felony burglary, while both women were charged with misdemeanor petit larceny and false personation. Police said Wimberly was also charged with a separate petit larceny count for a December incident at a Glenmont Home Goods store…
