RALEIGH, N.C. — Fire departments and first responders in western North Carolina are among those slated to receive the latest wave of Hurricane Helene recovery grants.
Those funds will be sourced through the $700 million bipartisan relief bill Gov. Josh Stein signed into law.
The Office of the North Carolina State Fire Marshal is now accepting applications for the second round of disaster recovery grants for communities affected by Helene.
