WETUMPKA, Ala. (WSFA) – Kids aren’t the only ones heading back to class this time of year. In Wetumpka, they’re letting the dogs out at Fur Baby University. It opened in 2023 and its not your typical doggy daycare.
“It’s a real life campus experience,” said owner Talyia Porterfield. “We act as guidance counselors and not so much someone who just sits and watches your fur baby throughout the day.”
They want this experience to feel like your four-footed child is off to college.
“We do provide luxury daycare for them,” said employee Kaitlyn Webb. “We have artificial turf, luxury boarding areas, and a great grooming area for spa day.”…
