New Alabama school cellphone ban could delay students from getting drivers license

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — The recently passed law in Alabama banning cellphone use in schools has a far-reaching impact that could delay a student getting their learners permit or driver’s license.

The law requires that cellphones be collected by the school each morning or placing the phone in a bag to blocks signals until the end of the school day. Penalties for violations include suspensions from school.
