One year into the City’s plans for growth and climate change in Sacramento

Since the adoption of the 2040 General Plan and Climate Action & Adaptation Plan in February 2024, the City has made significant progress toward its long-term goals. In their first annual report to City Council, staff detailed a range of accomplishments in advancing housing, equity, sustainability, and clean energy efforts.

“The Annual Progress Report is intended to provide transparency and ensure accountability to the community as we move this work forward,” said Senior Planner, Vic Randall. “It is also an important tool to support community engagement and to foster ongoing collaborative opportunities with community partners.”
