Agriculture takes center stage at Great American Farmers Market

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Agriculture was celebrated at the Great American Farmers Market during the Mississippi Farmers Market on Saturday, August 9.

There were new vendors and activities for attendees. The event was part of America250, which celebrates agriculture’s role in Mississippi and across the nation.

“Since there are local people growing things, I think that is so important because yes, you can buy it from other places and all that kind of thing, but these farmers are here in Mississippi with us, and they are working their hardest to get these crops out for us.
