VIDEO: 75-foot shuttle boat grounded at Kewalo Basin, none injured

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A 75-foot vessel operating as a ferry for the Atlantis submarine ran aground and then drifted into the jetty point of Kewalo Basin Harbor on Aug. 9.

The Department of Land and Natural Resources is on site monitoring the situation for safety, but the boat is under USCG jurisdiction.

“We are working closely with all government regulatory agencies to have the shuttle boat safely removed from where it was grounded, towed back to its pier location and thoroughly inspected before it is returned to service,” Atlantis Adventures, which owns and operates Atlantis Submarines, said.
