(WJET/WFXP)– Investigators are still looking into a house fire in Chautauqua County on Wednesday after the remains of a Ripley, NY woman were found in the wreckage.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, calls for that fire went out on August 3 around 1:42, which destroyed a camper and a house in the 7800 block of McKinley Road in the Towns of Westfield.

Once crews from four regional fire departments were able to get the fire out and begin investigating, police said they found the remains of 43-year-old Alice Waters of Ripley, NY, in one of the structure.
The sheriff’s office said they’re still investigating the deadly fire and will provide an update in the near future…
