The City of Wilmer has terminated City Administrator Rona Stringfellow after five years in the position.
Stringfellow, who previously served 16 years with the City of Lancaster in roles ranging from City Planner to Deputy City Manager, was removed from her position on Thursday, August 7, following a 3–2 vote by the city council. Mayor Pro Tem Phyllis Slough, Linda Diane Nelon, and Kim Turner voted in favor of the termination, while Laura Jacobs and Sergio Campos opposed. The termination was without cause.
During her tenure, Stringfellow helped attract major companies to Wilmer, including Paul Mitchell, Nike, and Trina Solar.
