Kindergarten consultant: An OC college professor helps her former students set up their classrooms

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) — Just a few days before students walked through the doors at Chisholm Elementary, crowded the hallways, and filed into Halley Leonard’s kindergarten class, she was there already working.

There was a lot to do, a surprising number of details prior to an expected 22 6-year-olds who were to spend a whole school year learning numbers, letters, and motor skills.

The first day, she smiles, “Is so exciting. It’s exhausting too, but we know it’s worth it.”…
