JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -We are in for a typical summer day with afternoon highs ranging from the low to mid-90s. Warmer temperatures are expected to be concentrated further towards the west, with the lower 90s mainly in the east. Although this is not very far off from yesterday’s temperatures, increasing humidity will make it feel a lot different this afternoon. Heat index values could be as high as 105 in some spots today.
Rain chances remain low today, though a few isolated thunderstorms may develop between noon and 8 PM. Monday will see a similar chance for isolated showers, but more widespread rainfall is expected for the rest of the work week. The most widespread showers are expected on Tuesday, but scattered storms will remain in the forecast for the next several days…
