The city of Sparks has announced plans to reopen Victorian Avenue following the conclusion of Hot August Nights on Monday morning.
This decision comes after receiving negative feedback from the community and local businesses regarding the “Summer in the City” pilot program, which initially aimed to close the avenue to vehicle traffic throughout the summer.
The program, launched on July 3, was designed to enhance safety for event attendees and pedestrians by closing Victorian Avenue from Pyramid Way to the east side of Victorian Plaza.
