AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (WNYT)- The overpass that goes over Snooks Corners Road, has been closed in Amsterdam due to an accident on the Thruway, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
“Due to significant damage sustained to the Snooks Corners Road Overpass (Thruway), the road will be closed indefinitely until further notice,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post Saturday around 3:50 p.m.
“The Montgomery County Department of Public Works is working to secure the necessary concrete barriers to ensure public safety and will be assessing the situation further,” the post said…
