I Have the Nose of a Dog (and It’s Kind of a Superpower)

I’ve always been able to smell things that other people can’t. It’s strange, but I don’t even use a timer when I cook in the oven. I can smell when things are done. I always sniff my cups and dishes before I eat or drink from them, even if they’re clean.

Each of my animals and family members has a distinct smell, and I can catch a whiff as soon as they walk in the house. Even different rooms in my home have their own unique scent.

And then there are people.. Children have a weird metal smell. I’m not a fan of that one. Teenagers are a whole different situation. I could never be a teacher because I couldn’t handle the constant stink. Volunteering at school was hard enough.

Bosse Teacher Asks for Lotion and Body Spray Donations

One teacher at Bosse High School seems to feel the same way. She reached out to the community this week, asking for something simple that can make a big difference in her classroom.

Kate Farmer posted this on Facebook: “If you have a bunch of lotions or body spray cluttering up your space, consider donating it to my classroom. My kids are always needing a little lotion, and some could use the body spray.”…
