GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man is dead after a shooting in Grand Rapids Sunday evening, police say.
At 7:10 p.m., officers with the Grand Rapids Police Department were called to Logan Street and Diamond Avenue SE for a report of a shooting. First responders found a man with at least one gunshot wound lying on the sidewalk in front of a home on Diamond Avenue, according to GRPD Chief Eric Winstrom.
He said officers began first aid, but the man eventually died at the scene. Family identified the victim to News 8 as a 38-year-old man but did not share his name.
