LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville woman indicted last week for allegedly attacking her 6-year-old daughter with a hammer will appear in court Monday morning.
Zeinab Abdi, 40, was arrested June 19. Louisville Metro Police had responded to a home on Wilson Avenue around 12:45 p.m. on a report that a 6-year-old girl was hit in the head with a hammer by her mother, Abdi.
Police said the child was found unconscious with trauma to her head and taken to Norton Children’s Hospital in critical condition. Due to the severity of the child’s injuries, LMPD’s Homicide Unit was assigned to investigate the case…
