Louisville councilman hosting sound study of Bardstown Road, Baxter Avenue area

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville Metro councilman is asking for the community’s input as part of his effort to explore updates to the city’s noise ordinance.

Councilman Ben Reno-Weber, D-8, is hosting a sound study meeting at 6 p.m. Monday evening at Big Bar on Bardstown Road.

Reno-Weber said the goal is to understand the impact of sound in the area by looking at “how sound travels through shared community spaces” by playing a variety of instruments at a high volume in a controlled setting…
