New York faces bad combo of heat and air pollution that has health officials concerned

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New York City’s air quality will suffer Sunday and Monday as pollutants fill the air.

According to AirNow, a website run by the Environmental Protection Agency and its partners, New York City’s air is — and will continue to be — “Unhealthy of Sensitive Groups.”
